We got a bill from DH's insurance for the genetic karyotyping that a former specialist pushed us to do - to the tune of $2600. All of that run around is a huge story in and of itself. (The whole appt was a joke, she didn't see a need for Lovenox and wanted us to move straight to IVF with a donor - and she was incredibly rude. Thankfully, that appt pushed me to leave the original practice and search out the amazing doctors I now see.)  So, this just makes me even madder.

 Before we agreed to do it, we made them call his insurance and guarantee that it would be covered. So we petitioned my insurance and 7 days later they also agreed to cover it for me. So...we went ahead and did it. It came back fine, but now this bill!!

DH called the doctor's office, billing office and insurance and it turns out the Dr coded it as "infertility" which is not covered by his insurance. They are refusing to change the coding so that it can be covered and my blood pressure is through the roof. I don't even know what to do next. I'm beyond stressing and this can't be good for my health. Argh!!!!

    This happened to DH as well I would suggest DH calling the doctor directly this is what I did.if that doesn't work call the office manager

    OMG, that's ridiculous! It almost feela as though the Dr's office is being petty to not recode it! $2600 is ALOT of money!! That sucks! I really hope you can get it figured out!
