S/O Kid clothes...sandals

Has anyone bought their LO flip flops for summer? It's been in the 80s here recently so I bought DS a pair of teva style sandals that velcro. But I've been seeing a lot of sandals like these (https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=94602&vid=1&pid=258952042) and I just can't help but think they'd be awkward/uncomfortable for toddlers to walk in. Not to mention DS's feet are so wide and thick I'd probably never be able to fit them on him anyway.

  • Baby flip flops are ridiculous. They never stay on and I've never known a baby that likes them. Plus, no support. DD will be getting a pair of strap on sandals for summer. She has one pair of thong style that are fancy for church but there is more to them

My oldest wore generic crocs throughout his first, 2nd, and 3rd summers.  I know, gasp, I hated Crocs before I had a little boy, too.  But they are easy to put on, you can wash sand and mud right off, and they still cover his little toes up for

  • This is what I was thinking too. Why are toddler flip flops everywhere then?!! And I totally tried Crocs out for DS but his feet are too thick to fit into them. He seriously has the fattest feet I've ever seen.

His feet are wide, too.  I guess we were lucky finding crocs to fit.  I bought a pair of those cute canvas slip ons and there was no way EVER his feet would go in them.

  • One of my friends buys these for her daughter and I swear, the kid is always tripping!  Flip flops for toddlers just seem ridiculous to me.  Cute?  Sure.  Practical?  Not even a little bit.

My dh bought dd a pair of  Carter flip flops.  I gave him the stink eye and explained they are too rigid for her to walk in. So they will only be used for shower shoes at the pool.  I remember long before I had a child they said Crocs we
