To POAS or not POAS.

This Saturday I will be 12dpo but I will be out of town for my birthday celebration at Disneyland. POAS could make or break my weekend. So my question is what would you ladies do? POAS? Or just wait it out.

    I'd wait it out. If it's negative it will just ruin your birthday weekend. Have fun at Disneyland!!

    Wait. But I also waited or the RE to call with my beta. I'm a savor the surprise kind of person. Have a great trip!

    Clomid 50mg 12/2011 = BFN
    Clomid 100mg 1/2012 = BFN, with Cyst
    IVF #1 Lupron/Menopur/Gonal-f/HCG Trigger
    ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    Honestly I was in this same exact position two weeks ago. In Disneyland and everything, it's actually really funny. I did POAS and it was negative. I don't take negatives badly, I'm very practical and just focus on the upcoming cycle. I did want it to be

    I would wait. I never POASd until 14 dpo. I'm a real rules kind of person. And even with waiting until 14 d, once I got a bfn that turned into a BFP 2 days later and one was so faint I almost threw it away. GL, have fun on your trip, and happy bday!

    I'd do it, but I'm also the girl that took 13 hpts before my beta!!! But, I wouldn't want bad news to ruin a fun weekend. So, I say you should probably wait.

    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    Ooh.  Tough.  I'd actually probably test because otherwise I'd be wondering all weekend and wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it!  

    If it's negative I'd be bummed, but probably not quite as bummed because I'd be at Disneyland

    The answer to this question is always yes. 

    If you do and it's positive great!  If you do and it's negative well, then your birthday celebration will help to cheer you up.  If you don't, you'll obsess about it all weekend.

    Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

    I'd probably wait so my weekend wasn't ruined. Hopefully you'll be too occupied with all things Disney to really think about it much. Then you can come home and POAS!

    Well, if it was me I would POAS so I could drink on my birthday...but if that isn't an issue for you then I would wait so as to not potentially put a damper on the weekend.

    IF DX: DOR & Fragile X pre-mutation carrier
    2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
    BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ DS born 9/4/12
    Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;
    BFP from supps ~ DS#2 due May 2014
