Baby Names

First impressions of these girl names?

H and I have a boy name picked out for our second baby (Gavin), but just can't decide at all on a girl name.  Our son's name is Kyler William to give you an idea of our tastes.

I do take into account things like how a name will look on a resume, etc, so I prefer easily pronounceable names, but since I have a very common last name (starts with a "C" and ends in "son") I prefer names that aren't as common/dated.

These are the girl's names we've come up with that we like well enough.  Please, no snark, just input on whether these are nice names that would grow well with a little girl.  And I'd love any suggestions on names I might like based on this list.

Alyvia (H likes because we could call her Ally.  Doesn't like the traditional spelling.)
Aleyna
Brynna
Caylie
Caylin
Kellyn

The middle name would be Marie (my MN) with all of those except Caylie.  If we chose Caylie, I really like Noelle for a MN.

I'm aware H and I might get tongue tied if we try to call for Kyler and Caylie/Caylin/Kellyn at the same time, but hell, my mom did that with my brother and me and our names are as different as you can get.

  • I like Brynna, but I'd spell it Brenna.

  • Honest feedback: none are really my style and I think many won't age well.

Alyvia: if it's pronounced Olivia, I'd spell it like that. It'll save your daughter a lot of time correcting people. Based on the spelling I'd pronounce it A-livia (and I

  • I wouldn't mind any of these names if they were spelled in some sort of intuitive fashion, but there is a Y in every single one of them where no one will expect it (does there really *have* to be a Y there?) and it would just be a pain in the neck to be a

  • I love the name Alaina, it it one of my favorites. But I hate random ys. Kellen is a boys name, no one would get Alyvia right. Kaylen is okay. I've seen it spelled this way many times. I also think Kaylee is an okay name. But spelled in a recognizable way

  • Same opinion as many people here but I could get behind Caylie.
  • Alyvia? Like Olivia? I think that looks horrible and how do you get Ally from Olivia? Just because you spelled it different,it still sounds the same when spoken. How about Allison if you guys like the nn Ally?
