I would agree with you, however I also need to add that when you're a working mom, it seems that much more difficult! All playdates or events take place during working hours and any connections I might wish to make appear to be limited to those hours. I'd love to find a way to connect with other moms, perhaps on the weekends if possible.
I just read your blog and I totally agree!! I am a stay at home mom and find it so hard to meet other moms! It is so funny because I don't know how many times I tell my husband "man, I should have gotten that mom's number!". It really feels like dating again! Where are you in St. Louis, we should start our own moms group!
I can completely relate. I am 25 and most of my friends do not have children and aren't married. It would be great to get to know some other moms in the area! Anyone from around St. Charles?
I had pretty good luck finding a group on meetup.com- stl mom & baby play group- primarily for babies born in 2012 but there are some in there that were born in 2013...
Check out MOMS Club if you are a stay at home mom or work part time. There are chapters in the city, several in the county and one in St. Charles. I am the president of the West County chapter. Our website is https://stlwestcomoms.webs.com and moms club is at www.momsclub.org.
I work full time and most of my friends, since I'm 24 don't have kids. I've got an almost 2 year old (Dec. 20) and another due in early June. Nobody wants to hang out in the evenings or weekends and not many people live out by me in south county.
It would be nice to have some mommy friends, since my husband can be a box of rocks when it comes to kids sometimes.
