My son's dresser fell over on him last night

It was awful. I was nursing the baby. We hear a loud bang and then my son started crying. DH went in there, and said "omg, Holt. Are you ok?" The tone of his voice made my skin crawl, becuase DH isn't one to overreact or panic. I ran in there, completely panicked. Holt was hysterical. My husband had to move away all of the drawers and pulled him out. I was shaking, ready to call 911.
But he was fine, other than being really scared. There wasn't a scratch on him. I am not sure how. He landed kind of tucked underneath this small bookcase in his room. He said his hand hurt, but that was it. We looked at it really closely and had him move all of his fingers. He was fine. Apparently, he was trying to get a pair of his shoes that were in one of the drawers. I feel awful that we didn't have the dresser secured to the wall. And that I have his shoes in that top drawer. We are in the process of building a house and moving in a month or so, but we will be securing all furniture asap.
We are just so lucky that he was okay. Just a reminder to everyone to make sure furniture is secure!

A friend's 9 year old cracked a few ribs because she opened all the drawers to look for something.
I am sorry this happened but so glad your Ds is ok!
The same thing happened to Ds. We secured all his furniture and the things in the rest of the house. but didn't do the dresser in our room bc "Ds would never be in our room alone." Both Dh and I
That is super scary. Glad he is ok though.
