Newborns will sleep mostly, but when she's crying, have you tried swaddling or any of the techniques from "happiest baby on the block"? Basically you want to recreate the womb to help calm them down

My nurse said babies will be more perky by 2 weeks. Every day is different enjoy the sleepiness!

Our NICU nurse told us when she was a week old that she would probably sleep 20 hours of the day. At 2 weeks she definitely showed a lot more alertness, the other day she was awake during most of the day with just a little bit of sleeping here and there!
