Papa and I have not spoken in over a month, but are still "friends" on facebook as a bit of an olive branch to each other. well, he REGULARLY posts crap about how good he feels, how he's getting his sht together, blah blah. . . i've decided a lot of that is just posturing because clearly, CLEARLY if he's ignoring that fact that he's going to be a father in November, he ain't doin' so hot mentally.
But then yesterday happened. . . I got home from work just as he should have been leaving for work, checked my facebook and was assaulted by a picture of his mother [who lives in town, and has never met me] and some other unidentified relatives with the hashtags: familyforever, bloodline, and familyovereverything.
I LOST IT.
Seriously?! SERIOUSLY?! Smurf you, buddy. way to rub my nose in everything you're denying my child. OUR CHILD.
I was adopted, i don't have bloodlines outside of this baby and now my baby will experience the same anguish of knowing there are people out there that are blood, but they can't know them AND YOU'RE ADVERTISING IT ON FACEBOOK?!
Sucker punch to the gut. that's what yesterday was. ok, I'm done ranting.
Re: I encountered my first trigger. . .
What gets me is the hypocracy of claiming to have a deep value and respect for family while denying my baby not just your time, but your PATERNITY! . . . family over everything huh? I got your family right here. . . ins
