Pillow?

Early this morning DD was having a tough time falling back asleep. I took her out to the couch and let her lay in her boppy pillow. She rolled over and fell asleep on it, using it as a pillow. I have heard of babies using the boppy pillow as a pillow in the crib, but at what age is this okay? What age is it ok for anything to be in the crib...blanket, pillow, toy, etc?
