Anyone watch Rules Of Engagement?

I just caught up on the show via Netflix, Oliver Hudson's character was funny in the beginning, but, why,why,why have they made him more and more stupid?  To the point where I'm not sure he should leave the house on his own. My 4mnth old his smarter than he is.

    I started watching because of Patrick Warburton, who is seriously the nicest and funniest person IRL, I can personally attest. But David Spade gives me the creeps and the writing is just blah.

    I don't understand why the continue to write him that way, he must have seriously pissed off the writers.  

    Warburton was on a podcast I listen to, he sounded like he was the nicest person.
