Good Morning Everyone!
OK ? so my u/s appointment went great this morning! I am so glad that I went. It was worth the money (we are paying out of pocket for pretty much everything). I got lots of good information. The doctor that did the ultrasound was actually the same doctor who did my HSG test . He remembered me and he was so nice and really gentle. This was the least uncomfortable/painful appointment for me so far.
So here are my stats (HAHA):
?Dominant follicle on the right side = 21 CM
??A Bunch of little guys? for follicles on the left side ? largest is 12 CM
?He said I will ovulate from the right side this month
?He also said that I am very close to ovulation right now ? he said it could happen in anywhere from 1-3 days depending on how my body reacts
?My lining is measuring 13 CM
?He recommends that I test at least twice a day with the ovulation kit so that I don?t miss my surge
?He also said that he feels that it is better to have the IUI too soon than too late. He thinks the success rate is higher for women that are just about to ovulate, they have the IUI and then the egg drops once the sperm is already in there. Donor sperm will live about 6-12 hours post IUI, so if I actually have the IUI just prior to ovulation, that would be the best timing
Some of that I knew, some of it was new info, but it was definitely all reassuring to hear, and good to know that everything is functioning well and that I should be all set for a successful IUI #2 in a couple of days (I hope, I hope)!

TTC with RE since March 2012
3 missed O's, 6 IUIs = 1 BFP then 8 w M/C, 5 BFNs
(2 unmedicated IUIs, 2 clomid IUI, 2 femara IUI)
Shared maternity/partner IVF, transfer #1 BFP!

They said no to the trigger shot this time. I did ask. Since I ovulate on my own regularly, and everything else looks good, they want me to just use the ovulation kit tests at home and when I get my "smiley" I will go in the next morning for the IUI. T

Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies!
Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13
Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d
Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect.
Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p
Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!
Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
We had two follies that measured 21mm when we had our successful IUI. Good luck on your journey & we will be here for support during your TWW!
