Stainless steal/BPA free plastic straw cups

For the last few months we have been using the Kid Basix straw cups for DD to drink water and milk.  There is a silicone ring that seals the lid when you screw it onto the base and it has proven very difficult to clean.  I have attempted to remove it but it is not possible.  I feel that I need to replace these now and am stumped on what to do.  These cups are $10-$15 each and if I have to replace them every few months that's really going to add up!  I have researched alternate options for stainless steel straw cups but there is not much out there.  The Thermos Foogo bottle is the closest match but I have concerns about the flip lid.  Can anyone recommend a straw sippy?  I prefer stainless steal but am open to suggestions on BPA free plastics as well!  Thanks!

  • The safesippy2 is exactly what I have been using.  The ring that I am talking about is not the removable valve (plug) or straw.  It is in the lid where the top of the cup and lid meet when twisted together I hope you have better luck with yours.

  • What about the life factory glass bottles? They have a sippy lid but not a straw.

No kid here yet. But I love mine! I've even dropped them on tile or concrete and they have survived. And water tastes much better than from a stainless steal w

  • We are planning to use the Pura Kiki baby bottle which has a silicone sippy cap that you can use.  I personally use a starbucks stainless steel cup with a stainless steel straw.  There is some plastic on the underside of the lid which I dont love but it does not come in contact with my drink so I choose to not worry to much about it.  I think the current version does unfortunately come with a plastic straw but I am planning to get it and just use it with one of our stainless steel straws to use when my current cup is dirty.
