Seriously? Is this how it works?

So I am going to start back at work in Sept and have begun researching day care options for DD.  I live in NYC and so far I can not find any pricing for daycare's available online.  One place  I called yesterday made me make an appointment to come in and find out the rates. WTF?  Today I tried calling a few places only to get answering machines.  I don't think it should be this complicated to do my initial screening of who we can even afford.  Is this how it normally goes? What a huge waste of time.

  • I'm the director of a daycare and we give prices when you call I don't know why they would make you wait until you came in. We actually have our pricing on the website as well. That seems strange.

I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
