I've been getting my hair highlighted (blonde), forever! I'm really wanting to go back to my natural medium brown color but don't know how. Is there any other way to do it other than chopping off all my hair and letting it grow out?

My hair dresser dyed it all dark brown once, but it faded super quick and then I had a brassy color going on. Not fun.

You could also get low-lights put in to slowly transition it back to a more natural color and blend in with your roots. A friend of mine did that and it looks great. Each time she just gets a few more low lights and her grow out blends in pretty well. I t

Did you use a good color shampoo/conditioner? That should prevent the fading. Other than that it should be easy to just dye it close to your natural color and go from there.
