NT scan and possible sex reveal?

Hi ladies,

I had my NT scan 2 days ago and everything went great! I've also been on bed rest for 3 weeks because I had a subchorionic hematoma and that's all gone now! Wohoo! I thought I was done and then the tech is like, "do you want me to peek and see if I can see the sex?" I was kinda thrown off guard cause I thought it's way to early to know. Anyway, she did look and and she said she was 65% sure it's a girl. Hmmm I'm excited but not taking any stock in this. We'll find out for sure in 4 weeks Anyone else had your tech look at the sex this early?

I feel stupid but what exactly is a NT scan? From reading posts it seems like it detects if there are any problems but how is it Different than an ultrasound? Should I ask my dr about in at my next appointment? I was never told about this when I was pregn

I wouldn't even hazard a guess at the sex at that point. Genitalia are virtually identical til at LEAST 13w.

We had ours yesterday and are having twins. There was definitely something different in between the legs on one over the other. So their guess at this point for us was one of both.

I think it's fun to try and guess this early, but I would take it with a grain of salt since it's so early. My NT scan is tomorrow and I'm hoping they can give us a guess, but I won't run out and register for anything until after the A/S.

I have mine on Tuesday, so we'll see. It would be fun for them to take a guess, but I wouldn't rely on it at all. Would just be interesting to see if they are right or wrong when it comes time for the a/s later on.
