NBR: Baptism gift?

A friend's daughter will be baptized on Saturday. What do people normally give for a baptism? Do you usually give a gift? It seems like I should get her something, but all I can think of is maybe a blanket, and she already has too many of those. Thanks!

I have a Batism in a few months and wondered the same thing. I would do a savings bond but banks don't sell them anymore and they don't have an online account set up for him yet. I like the piggy bank idea though.

In our circle everyone tends to do a card with cash but the Greek baptisms are almost weddings so they are pretty formal

I think a really nice picture frame would be appropriate, skip the cheesy baptism ones.

I would give money. You didn't say if it is a baby Baptism or child. Either way I still give money for a baby - you could ask the mom if she has a piggy bank if not give that with money in it. For an child I would give a book and money.
