Does anyone put water in a bottle for their baby? Just curious about this, thanks!

  • I don't, but may I ask why you are asking? If you feel that your LO is dehydrated, the formula or breast milk you are giving her should be enough.

  • Nope. Water goes in a cup, and she gets a little with dinner to wash her food down. Bottles are for milk.

  • I guess I should clarify that we put the water in a cup or sippy, not the bottle.

  • Nope, she gets a sippy of water to get her used to the cup. Right now, this mainly involves her dumping it all over herself. But since I want her off the bottle and onto a cup by a year, I'm only giving expressed breastmilk in the bottle.

  • Nope.

We only give water in the sippy cup so LO can practice with it. Or sips from our glasses if he wants. But we do not give it for him to drink very much of.
