educational dvd recommendations

you guys gave me such good recommendations on cd's the other day, I was wondering if anyone has any good dvd's for our upcoming road trip! I was thinking along the lines of shapes, colors, numbers etc. sesame street would be good, but the ones that ive been finding seem like they are a little older and I wanted something more current :) thanks!

    My son doesn't watch much TV but he has watched a few episodes of Baby Einstein and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

    Sorry, not much help.

    Baby Signing Time and Signing Time. These videos teach toddlers how to use sign language to communicate. It cuts out tantrums. My little girl can sign complete sentences and gains words vocally after gaining the signs. If she wants something she signs it.

    The leapfrog DVDs are really great. Blues clues season 5 has some episodes with abcs, colors, shapes and numbers. My kids really like blues clues.

    I second the Leap Frog Videos.  The favorite in our house is Letter Factory.  DD loves them and Letter Factory is probably the reason DD has known her alphabet, has letter recognition, and has known the sounds that each letter says for qu

    We're still doing the "no tv under two" rule, but we'd consider making an exception for an airplane/road trip.

    If your kids DON'T watch TV at home, are they likely to want to watch it on the go?  Has anyone tried this?

    My DS loves Eebee.  He gets to watch an episode off Netflix once a day.

    thanks for all the replys. ds doesn't watch tv, but I was going to let him watch a little bit of educational stuff just on the trip in the car. we will be driving from ohio to mobile, Alabama :)
