Twilight Turtled & My Tot Clock - any reviews?

DD is 19 months and we are struggling with some night terrors and early wakeups. I am considering the Cloud B Twilight Turtle for use at night -- when she has the night terror the only thing that calms her is a soft light and it would be nice to have something to turn on for her that is nicer than a flashlight. https://www.amazon.com/Cloud-B-Blue-Twilight-Turtle/dp/B0054G5AIC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1366738393&sr=8-4&keywords=twilight+turtle

For the early wakeups I'm considering the Tot Clock because with her black out shades she doesn't really know the difference between 4am and 6am. We are going to install shades that let in a bit of light soon too.  Since she knows her colors and some numbers I'd love to get her a clock and this seems good but at a high cost I'd love some other reviews.  https://www.amazon.com/My-Tot-Clock-Children-Better-So/dp/B001QS802K/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1366738604&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=my+tot+clock

  • My LO LOVES her twilight turtle. We have one in our room that my DH bought for me when we were dating (I had a pet turtle of 11 years at the time) that we still use. It's 6 years old and still works great. :) Gotta replace the batteries every now and then

  • We had the turtle but it quit working within 6 months. Ironically, I talked to another mom about them recently and she had the same complaint.

  • WE have the twilight turtle and enjoy it. We turn it on as part of DS's bedtime routine and he falls asleep before it automatically shuts off. I don't think that turning it on in the middle of the night would do much to soothe him though. It's be pre

  • We like MyTotClock.  We've been using it for a year and a half.  I can't report too much on behavior stuff, since we cosleep and it depends on teaching the toddler, but it does exactly what I need it to do!  It is fairly bright, so I have i

  • We love the twilight turtle!!! LOVE!  We've used it forever.  It's usually on DS's floor and he plays it with a lot so it's pretty sturdy.

  • DS absolutely loves his Twilight Turtle.  Almost every morning he pulls it down from the dresser and carries it around the house.  As a part of his bedtime routine, I let him turn it on and we look at the stars on his ceiling as I talk about the
  • my problem with the Twilight Turtle is that it doesn't stay on. I found a humidifier by Vick's that has a color changing moon and star pattern that stays on or off by a switch.

  • We just started using the Twilight Turtle his month. DS now asks for the stars before I put him in the crib. I don't let him play with it, but he occasionally pulls it down from the shelf when I'm not looking.

DS just likes looking at the stars -
