Hi, all. Like anyone experiencing a MC, I'm sorry that any of us are here, but so very grateful to read the very supportive posts on this board. I just lost -- or, I guess it's more accurate to say I am currently losing -- my first pregnancy.
What follows may be TMI, but I just need to tell it. So please feel free to stop reading if you would find MC details upsetting.
I was 8w1d on Friday when some brown spotting began, It turned heavier over the weekend and was bright red by the time I saw a doctor yesterday (Monday). A transvag u/s revealed what I guess you'd call a blighted ovum. The sac measured at 6w1d with no fetal pole. I opted to try to let things happen naturally. The pain and bleeding got very strong last night and I passed a large clump of what am pretty sure (although I didn't have the opportunity to look closely) was fetal tissue. Today I still have cramping and heavy bleeding but it is less severe.
I have read varying experiences of other women whose MC processes were as short as a day and as long as a month or more. I'm really hoping I'm through the worst of it now, but things clearly aren't going my way these days. I just wish I knew when this will be over. I go in for a second blood draw to measure hormone levels tomorrow, but will my doctor ever check to see if the tissue is really all gone?
I'm 37, married for 12 years already. For various reasons, it just took us a really long time to feel ready for raising a child, so we didn't TTC until this year. Now, of course, I'm afraid we've already missed our chance.
Re: Moving over / intro / MC underway now
I just posted for the first time tonight and just had my loss last week so I don't have any answers but I just wanted to tell you how very sorry I am for your loss.

Though I don't really have any advice for you, I just wanted to let you know you are definitely not alone. I'm going through almost the exact same thing right now, though you were a bit farther along than me. I was only five weeks. I started with light
