Baby is crying after feeding

My 3 month old baby is crying after each feeding. Im not sure if its caused by hunger or tummy discomfort. She was breastfed for 2 months but now she is formula fed. She weighs 13 pounds and gets about 30 ounces of infamil newborn daily. I dont want to overfeed her. Could the formula be causing tummy problems? Im a first time mumm and not sure how to make my baby feel better. Any moms out there that have experienced the same problem?

  • I would definitely think tummy issues. Try switching to the gentle formulas. I'm no help there as I EBF but my nephews has tummy issues from the formula. In the meantime are you using gas drops or gripe water?

  • I am using gripe water but that doesnt seem to help much. She does seem to calm down a bit after burping. Im thinking of switching formula today to see if that helps. Thanks to everyone for the great advice!
  • i think i would try a new formula something easier on her stomach. maybe try burping her more during the feeding?

How many ounces do you feed at a serving? Could be that baby is still hungry! In my case I find that if DS cries after finishing a bottle it's either a trapped burp or he wants more. Usually he's still hungry. Have you tried increasing ounces per serving?
