I am almost 13 weeks pregnant with my first child, and thinking that I want to switch OB/GYN practices. I feel rushed at my current practice and I don't feel like they take the time to answer my questions thoroughly, and in a way that I understand. Also, there are 7 different doctors, which I am realizing is a lot. I am interested in finding a practice that takes an interest in getting to know their patients, and that lets you know what to expect at your next appointment. Also, I am very anxious about giving birth and hope to find someone who is empathetic to that, and who encourages me throughout the rest of my pregnancy.
I used to think that it was important to me to have a female OB/GYN, but I am realizing that I would be open to either male or female. Also, my husband and I are not AS concerned with location, but it would be a bonus if the practice is close to the Montgomery/Hyde Park area.
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks so much.
