Eczema!

My poor little DS has eczema!  I went to his 4 mos. appt and asked about a couple little patches of super dry skin on his elbows and leggies and the Dr. said it looks like eczema.  He said it may go away as he gets older, which I hope it does.  The dry, cold MN weather does not help things either.

Do any of you have any natural remedies or suggestions for skin creams to help out?  We've been only using the Aquaphor lotion on him since birth and it doesn't seem to help it at all.

  • Coconut Oil is the way to go. It's moisturizing and naturally anti-fungal. It can be greasy, so I mix mine with a little Vitamin E oil and beat in my stand mixer for about 8 minutes on high, and it turns creamy!

  • I have eczema and my mom used to give me Aveeno oatmeal baths whenever it got really bad. They always helped. I grew out of it for the most part. I only have breakouts of it very infrequently.

  • My LO has eczema too. Her pedi prescribed a cream for when she has particularly bad flare ups, and she told me to use Aveeno Baby Eczema for regular daily use. I was also told to limit baths, and particularly the use of soap. The pedi said that no matter
