When DD takes a bottle of my milk or formula she takes 6 oz. I have had o supplement for supply issues, but that is a whole other issue. Does 6 oz seem right for a 3 month old?
I'm not an expert by any means but I don't think there's a hard and fast rule of oz per month. DS has eaten 12 oz of pumped milk in an hour an a half before! Other times he will "only" drink 5. Depends on the day. Usually he can eat a ton. I have friends
Now that I am back to work DD takes 5 oz in her first bottle and 4 in her other bottles until I get off work and bf her. We just recently started regularly bottle feeding her so it is a bit of a guessing game for us.
My LO is FF and she drinks 5.5oz at a time. She just turned 4months but she's always been kinda on the small side at least percentile wise at the pedi so it depends on your LOs size and weight gain.
Like PPs have said, it really does vary depending on the baby. My son is almost 4 months and EFF. He normally takes 5 to 6 ounces every 3 to 4 hours during the day.
DS has 4 oz of BM every 3 hrs when I'm at work. I'm not sure if he'd eat a little bit more if offered, but I work my a off to pump that much, so since he's satisfied, I'm happy.
DD has 4-5oz bottles, but I've never offered more than 5. She seems pretty content w it. Plus she spits up so much, I don't like to give her too much at once.
