Wait time for VBAC?

Hi ladies,

I have a question for this board, I'm fresh off an unplanned c section. Our birth plan was an all natural hypnobabies birth, so obviously Im not very happy with how things turned out. All along we planned to start TTC around 9 months after this LO, due to my age and our situation.

Can you share how long you waited, or were advised to wait, between your pregnancies? I'm concerned that I'll be told its too soon to VBAC, just wanted to see what you've experienced or been told.

ETA: I will of course be discussing this with my dr at my 6 week appt next week, but I wanted to get a feel of other people's actual experiences to compare to what my dr says.

    The standard is 18 months, I was told by my OB.

    The time between the births of my children will 17 months, which I have heard the minimum is 18 months between births. My OB told me to wait 12 months before conceiving again, but oops! So far, my OB seems supportive for a VBAC and has not mentioned the 1

    My midwife said she is comfortable with as little as 10 months between. That seems REALLY close to me, but that's what she told me. Everything I'd read was 18 months.

    My OB says she doesn't care about spacing because you are 95% healed by 6 weeks after a csection.  Mine will be 17 months apart.

    My doctor wanted two years between deliveries. I think this rec is on the long side, however.

    I was told no need to wait. I got pregnant around the time did was 7 months. My ob was still pushing for me to vbac. I did miscarry. I just vnaced, they are 22 months apart.

    ACOG recommends 2 years between deliveries, as do many of the VBAC advocating groups.  According to recent research (I'd have to look through my notes for the source), you really should wait 2 years between PREGNANCIES, regardless of your delivery ex

    I was told the general recommendation is 2 years. I was PG with DD 13mo PP.

    I've heard 18 months between pregnancies. I got pregnant when my DS was 16 months and I had my DD by VBAC when DS was nearly 25 months old.
