LO is going to be 11 months on May 8th, and is still breastfed. I am also still pumping during the day while I'm at work and he mainly goes to the babysitter with 2- 5 oz. bottles of breastmilk and solid foods/snacks. I know once they reach a year, I can introduce cow's milk- however, I still want to continue to breastfeed until he weans. My question is, when is it practical to stop pumping? I don't have a large freezer stash to make up for not pumping, so is it best if I continue to pump until LO is 1 and can drink cow's milk? I would still nurse on demand at home. I'm curious as to what other moms have done. Thanks!
Re: 10 months in...When to stop pumping?
I returned to work when DS was 12 months. I did not pump. He got water and cow milk at daycare, and I nursed when we were together. I did let him nurse at night up until 18 months in part because of this - he never drank much cow milk at daycare.
