Allergies?

My son is 7.5 months old and he has had this cough for several weeks now. He has also had a runny nose on and off throughout that time. Because he is in daycare, I was thinking he was juat getting a cold or something from the other kids. But the more I think about it,could it be allergies? We have a dog and 2 cats. Is there any way the doctor can tell if thats what it is? Neither me nor my husband have allergies. TIA

Re: Allergies?

  • I thought my DD might have allergies too, but her pedi said it was really to early for them to test or to conclude that certain symptoms were in fact allergies.  She said that more likely than not her cough and runny nose were just a little cold.

  • ^^^ That exactly. We have three dogs and one cat and I've sworn since we brought DS home that he's allergic to them, but the pedi said they don't confrim allergies this young.  So we just keep wiping noses and running humidifiers. <img src="https://co

  • My DD started daycare at 5 months old and on the 3rd day of her going she woke up with an extremely stuffy nose and we are pretty sure that was from daycare because lots of kids in her class were coughing and had runny noses too. We have no pets. Well

  • DS has had the constant runny nose/cough for a few weeks.  When the pollen hit hard in our area he started breaking out in hives.  We have tried to rule out food but he has gotten them even when taking bottles of BM so I can't believe that was i
