C section recovery

I think I conviently forgot how uncomfortable the c section recovery was after #1.  My SIL just had a c section Monday and seeing her try to get around brought it all back.  How am I supposed to take care of DS#1 (he will be 14 months) While recovering from a c section?  Anyone have any experience or tips of how to get it done.  DH will be home for 1 week after baby is born, but after that it will be just me with them both.

  • Is DS walking and climbing? If so he is to climb into your lap. Also recovery round two is faster than round 1.

  • I just had my second c section, DS was 11 months. I had help the first week home and then I was on my own. Fortunately DH had time off to take us to the Dr and I never needed to worry about getting him in the car. Just take it slow. Good luck!

  • I will be having a RSC for this LO too, and my advice would be to just be very careful that week that your DH is there, I was able to do no lifting in the first 10 days (DS was in the NICU and not able to be moved from his incubator for any length of t
