Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

What's YOUR Schedule?

I know we post often about our LOs schedules with naps, meals, bedtimes...but wondering for those moms who work from home/stay at home: what is your schedule? When do you shower? What do you usually do when (if!) your LO naps? Do you wake up before your LO to get a jump start on anything? How late do you stay up once LO is down for the night?

I am constantly trying to maximize my day so that I am playing and teaching my DD when she is awake but I often find myself having to get chores done...any insight for what other moms are doing would be greatly appreciated!

Re: What's YOUR Schedule?

  • 5:15AM- Wake up, shower, get dressed, pack lunch and make LO's bottle.

6:30AM wake LO up, feed him his morning bottle, change his diaper and brush teeth.

7:00AM Leave to take LO to sitter's house

    8-6pm work

6:45 Get home, usually pick up dinner or cook something easy

    8:15 Start LO's bath time

    8:30 LO bed time.

    10:15 Our bed time.

I work 4/10's through the week so luckily I get a day off, but usually it's consumed with appointments, errands, and housework. Turns out being a mom is tough!!!

  • SAHM here.
In days we don't have class or anywhere to be I sleep until she wakes me up. Usually at 7 or 8. Then she has a sippy of BM followed by breakfast by 9ish. Then I clean up the kitchen and play with her. When she takes her nap, usually around 11 or 12 I shower, put away laundry, work on something on the computer etc. When she gets up and DH comes home we have lunch. Another clean up/play/ do a craft like coloring or painting or maybe go for a walk, dinner around 6 or 7, bath jammies, lotion, BM bottle and bed
Then its free time for me.

  • 7: I wake up, shower, get dressed

7 - 8: A wakes up but usually plays in his room until I come to get him. We eat breakfast and I clean as I go.

8 - 9: Free play for a while after breakfast. Depending on his mood, I either play with him or let him play on his own while I drink coffee and check my email, FB, bump, and then I do my hair and throw on some tinted moisturizer.

9 - 10: We're out the door for a class, play date, library story time, speech therapy, etc.

11 - 12: We're home, A eats lunch and goes down for a nap. It can take up to an hour for him to go to sleep, so I eat my lunch and watch some TV waiting for him to fall asleep.

1 - 3: He's asleep, I do about an hour relaxing and another hour straightening up the house, prepping dinner, laundry, etc.

3 - 5: We're out of the house for park time, walks, feeding ducks, longer trips to the museum, zoo, more play dates, whatever.

5: Come home and prep dinner while A plays independently or watches an episode of YGG, depending on his mood.

    6: Eat dinner, clean up

6:30: We go for a walk/jog with A in the jogging stroller

7:30 Come home and A gets a bath, milk, books, and brushes his teeth.

8: He's in bed by 8 or 8:30 and I spend about an hour cleaning, paying bills, folding laundry.

9/9:30 - 11: Watch TV, relax, bump, read, whatever.

  • I get up at 7:30 and drink coffee and eat breakfast. She usually gets up between 8-8:30. During her first nap I work out and then shower. Depending on my mood, I'm up 2-3 hours after she goes to bed. Sometimes only an hour. I do chores while she is up and is playing on her on or while she's eating, if I've already eaten. A couple of days a week we have morning activities and I get up and shower instead of eating at that time. Those mornings I will eat when she eats and skip working out.
