Sorry for the multiple posts.

We weren't really given any toys for LO yet and I had a look at BRU yesterday. When did you guys start offering toys to your LO and what did you offer? Most of what I saw was just for hanging off the car seat and he doesn't spend much time in there.

E got a baby einstin radio thing that she started really enjoying around 8 weeks. By 12 weeks she was pushing the button herself to make the music play. She also lived in her FP rainforest jumper from 8 weeks.

J really likes her jungle gym mat. I think it is fisher price. She is finally starting to grab things and put them in her mouth. We have the lam.az horse and moose. She has some interest, but doesn't seem to be showing preference for specific toys.

During the newborn period, the only "toys" M had was his FP Rainforest gym. I started putting him in the gym since he was 2 weeks old - he was flailing his arms around hitting the hanging objects. He didn't really "play" with toys until he was close

Wrist rattles. We put them on her ankles so they would rattle when she kicked. She loved it.

Oh yes, Mirrors! M loved that for a good 2 months at least. Get an unbreakable one that can prop up - M would stay doing tummy time forever just to look at himself.

I can't believe no one mentioned the O ball rattle. My DS loved that toy and that was the first one he could actually grab. I still have it in my car and he uses it.

Thanks everyone! The gyms were on sale so perhaps I'll start there. I didn't see a single rattle but I will look elsewhere.
