I found a couple of tricks:
1. Make sure the lid is set on so that steam is not escaping. On mine it has wiggle room all around so if it's not centered this happens.
2. Use the low setting for a longer time, high tends to make
Depending on the type of meat you are cooking. Adding broth, water, or coca-cola soda helps.
I always add extra extra liquid, as i like moist, not dry chewy meat. you can always drain extra liquid off.
