Advice please

My DD will be 12 weeks on Wednesday. She has gained almost an ounce a day since birth, until Friday. We had her weighed at the lactation clinic on Thursday and she was on schedule. Then on Friday she had lost an ounce. I normally only feed on one side since birth. At the clinic on Thursday the LC said at this age I need to feed on both sides. I tried that night and had a screaming baby that night. Friday the other LC said go back to one side so she's back to normal and gaining. I did that all weekend and went back today. She lost another ounce over the weekend. She's eating 9 times a day, 810 wet/poopy diapers, an average of 22.5 hrs of eating. She's also sleeping 9 hrs at night with one feeding in the middle and I pump then and then when she gets up. I have not noticed any change in the amount I pump. She pulls off the breast on her own with some comfort sucking. At clinic i tried feeding on both sides and she ate 1.5oz on one side and 2cc on the othershe was playing and smiling The LC today was completely baffled as to what's going on. Other than a growth spurt that I'm pretty sure she went through this weekend she is acting her normal happy self. She does eat every hour and half to two hours when she's awake. Any ideas what could be going on? I'm going to try both sides till Thursday then go to clinic again to get her weighed. I am at a total loss and feel horrible that she's loosing weight. I am EBF. She did take her first bottle Wednesday. Sorry for mistakes I'm on mobile.

    Sorry it's supposed to say 8 to 10 diapers and 2 to 2.5 hrs of eating.

    Thank you for your reply. I'm really trying to not stress on it and the LC isn't yet as well. I'm sure if she's still losing when I go back on Thursday the LC will start worrying. Im going to just keep going like nothing is wrong. It's the exact same scal

    Yeah, sounds like LO isn't loosing a ton of weight week to week.  Anyone will fluctuate in weight on a daily basis from elimination, sweating, eating slightly less, etc.  Keep doing what you're doing, and if you need to keep your sanity, get wei

    The "weight loss" could be depending on how full or empty her tummy happens to be when you're weighing her. I don't really understand why it was advised to feed on both sides. That is going to give her more low calorie fore milk. If you stick to one side

    I wouldn't worry about it just yet. 1 oz could be due to a change in the time of day, when she ate compared to her last diaper, etc. Offering the second side shouldn't change much as long as you allow her to finish the first side on her own time frame. <
