In way, this makes me thankful we had the drama with the school last year because that was the last straw that pushed DH to talk to a lawyer.
I don't think we even had the CO a week before BM was emailing DH proposed changes to it. He finally told her - look, you had multiple chances to negotiate what you wanted, but you just said no to everything and forced us to spend over 3k to get this new CO. Now that we have it, we're using it.
She hasn't asked for a single change since. Now I know it's only a been a couple months and over the next 12 years there will be more drama, but for now life just seems so much smoother. I pick SS up from school, she picks him up at our house. There's no more last minute changes and she can't play her games anymore because she doesn't get to hold all the cards. We've moved and had to replace a car, we really could have used the money other places, but I'm so glad we finally spent it on a new CO!
Re: Can I say how glad I am we went to court?
Delighted for you guys, I know she put you through the ringer over the last few years. Hopefully things run smoothly now.
3K is worth it if it makes her think twice.
That's what it took for SD's mom too. Boy she was ticked when we had a lawyer show up. It ended all the nonsense.
I'd insert a smiley but I'm on mobile.
