Beta is down to 12. Still no bleeding. lower risk of ectopic, but now my RE wants to follow it to <5.

MH and I have had a conversation about the direction we are going next.

1) We are lucky enough to have insurance, but for four IVF cycles. We are down to two

2) Every fresh IVF, we have gotten a bfp but can't make it stick

3) I have an autoimmune disease that I feel as though my RE has never addressed the implications of

4) I have always responded well to medications and have never had a hormone level "failure" at any stage of treatment (even without drugs)

5) I don't love our RE or his office, but we have put in so much time there and the part he manipulates (egg production) has always been successful.

We have come to the conclusion that seeking the help of a reproductive immunologist is our next step. Our WTF with the current RE is on May 1. If he agrees to refer us to Dr. Kwak-Kim and will augment our next cycle with her recommendations, then we will cycle with them again.

Otherwise, I just don't think that I can just do the same thing again only to have the same outcome.

I am interested in comments on our plan considering your (unfortunately) extensive experience on the board.

I am glad your beta is going down. I would not wait until your appt to contact Kwak Kim because she is very busy, if you have an autoimmune disease then having an immunologist that specializes in loss makes perfect sense. I also think that perhaps look

Remind me, Lincoln, what protocols you've tried and number of eggs retrieved/fertilized, etc. I can't recall if you've done PGS or anything either? I definitely think a consult with an immunologist is a great idea. I find that our gut instinct

I think that moving onto an RI would be a prudent step since you only have 2 IVF cycles left. I wish I knew more about it so I could help, but the whole world of immunology is foreign to me and I'm just barely starting to learn about it myself. </

IVF 1: 12R, 10M, 9F, 2transfer at day 5, 4 frozen

IVF 2: 8R, 6M, 5F, 2transfer at day 5, 0 frozen (lower drugs)

Lupron suppression, bravelle/menopur, ovidrel trigger, estrace/prometrium after

RE doesn't believe in PGS.

i am so sorry to hear about what you are going through.My Re didnt do pgd testing.I went to a seminar to out is other re,we liked him so set appt.maybe you could do something like that.best of luck hun

I had much the same issue... Great ER, great fert rate, beautiful embies ... The first three all took but didn't stick. The next two were low quality that didn't take at all. My RE refused to consider immune anything.
