Re: Weekly Accountability Check In!
I had another great week of healthy eating and exercise. I am wrapping up my period and I still somewhat bloated. It normally takes a couple days for the bloat to go away after my period is gone.
I still have no weight change this week but it hasn't gone up. I gained about 7 lbs from bloat at the beginning of my period and it is down to 4 lbs now. I think in a couple days the bloat will be gone and I can see if I truly lost any last week and beginning this week.
I have lost 3 inches in my waist, a 1/2 inch in my chest (which is good, I don't want to loose too much there, hehe) and 1 inch in my hips (this is also good because I am lacking in the hip/butt area so I don't want to loose much more of it either, haha) since I started eating healthy and exercising again.
I hope everyone had a great week and I can't wait to hear updates!

Had a good week despite the nausea - its like working out with a hangover!
Crossfit - M thru Fr. Hit good numbers on all my weights, my strength actually seems improved even though my stamina is way down. Pacing myself during workouts is still a challenge but so far so good
Ran on W, F, and Sunday. Sunday was a 5k race, first one since BFP. I ran slow and finished about 2.5 minutes slower than my normal 5k pace but it felt good. It was hard not to run people down near the end, especially since I had plenty of energy left.
Diet has been terrible though! I'm talking pizza and a cupcake on Saturday, donuts on Sunday and way more bananas than could possibly be healthy. Oh well, carbs seem to be the only thing my stomach can handle, other than eggs. Meat and veggies, the staples of my diet, are so hard to choke down right now
I hope your nausea gets better. It sounds like you're doing great! Eating healthy all the time while pregnant is tough. Hang in there!

Hello All!
Just found this thread last week so excited to join in. Hi (waves hand). I was pretty good with exercising last summer/fall but then fell off the wagon completely in November since I couldn't run outside anymore (too dark in the mornings) and work got crazy. Past month I have been getting back to it. My goal is to run 3 days a week for a total of about 12 miles (3,4,5). Last week I did only two runs since my kid decided it would be fun to get up at 5:30 (i.e. 10 minutes before I normally head out). I also did two Jillian Michaels workouts. I eat moderately healthy except for the baked goodes. Two scones and two slices of cheesecake are the weekly tally of damage. Starting this week I'm committing to limiting myself to two baked treat a week. My goals are to get to 147 pounds (so about 5 pounds to drop) and to run a 10K.
I made it to 2 yoga sessions last week: combination yoga and vinyasa yoga. The vinyasa class about kicked my butt all those dang chaturangas. I made it to the gym yesterday for the stair master and completed 111 flights of stairs in 30 minutes. I'm trying to find things to satisfy my sweet tooth that are not too bad. We made strawberry shortcake last week and I also ate some cinnamon graham crackers.
I also found out that my insurance company won't cover my hernia operation because it was pre existing which means I can't get it until Jan 2014
I'm going to try and appeal it though, so who knows. That means I can't lift weights anymore so I think I will continue to do cardio and yoga. I bought a 2nd groupon, so I'm good with yoga thru the end of may. With the back bends in yoga I'm not doing the full bend because i"m scared it will just pop out (right above belly button).
Although I am down a tiny tiny bit, I could've been much better. I was on vacation last week. I only made my steps goal one day. I wasn't terrible about diet, but I wasn't great. I went to visit my ILs, who make really yummy wine. I had two glasses each night. I am back on the wagon today before I completely fall out of routine.
Iloveshane, I am usually on mobile and don't see siggies. Your daughter is beautiful!
Welcome! It sounds like your back to a great start!

Vacations are always tough but it sounds like you did great!
Thanks you so much for the compliment about my daughter! She's all girl with just a pinch of tomboy and a total ham!

A wine filled vacation is tough, especially because I know I snack when I get any sort of a buzz. I did okay food wise.
Your daughter sounds awesome! DS just turned three. I love having conversations with him. I love this age. I'm sure six wi be a fun adventure as well.
i gained 30 lbs in my pregnancy but lost it all really quickly. of course my body is completely different and not as toned. i'm breastfeeding so i want to take care of my body but still make sure i have the fuel i need to make milk for my girl. i started back to work last week and decided that while finding my new normal these are my weekly goals:
run 8 miles/wk
do 60 minutes of yoga/wk
eat 2 vegetables w dinner total 14/wk
last week i ran 4.5 miles
did 75 minutes of yoga
and had 10 vegetable servings
today i ran 2 miles and met my veg serving so hopefully i'm on track to meet my goals this week!
finally i'm mobile bumping so this probably looks all crazy...
You do retain a lot of weight during your period. I usually just hold onto 2 pounds. It's good you keep track of measurements because that's more important anyways

Of course you can join in! Welcome! Wow, you are doing awesome!
Rainbow Surprise Baby due 05/26/2017
I have PMDD so it makes me retain a
lot, blah! Thanks, I'm down another pound from yesterday! It can take up to a week for the bloat to go away. Only 1 more lb of bloat to go and then by the Friday or so I should start to see my weight loss results from last week and part of this week. Come on Friday, haha!

You are doing great!

Back at Crossfit! Went back yesterday and today...man it's HARD! My cardio is shot, and my abs are shot too (thanks, C section). However, I can still do double unders (even better now that I'm not lifting an extra 30+ lbs up) and can do a couple kipping pulls ups-and some strict one with the lightest band. My core is very weak though, so the coach recommended i do some isometric exercises to build it back up about 2-3x a week because all of my olympic and barbell lifts will be crap until then. blah. I'm also walking 5+ miles a day with LO strapped too me since thats what she seems to love.
i weighed myself today and I'm 131-about 8 miles away from my PP weight. I'd like to get to 125 with more muscle definition. I think my gym is doing a "paleo challenge" and hopefully we do the BF testing again
Eating is better! Working on getting enough veggies in, and making healthy dinners. Still having one treat a night, which i need to wean myself off of. And too much caffeine and not enough water...
It sounds like your doing really well.

I'm a sahm to my dd Evelyn who is 11 months. I am back to my pre pregnancy weight but really need to tone up. I am doing my second sprint triathlon in July so I am half way through my training program.
My goals are to lose nine more pounds at the rate of a pound a week , stick to, do all of my daily workouts if my triathlon training program, arm weights three times per week and to stay below my alotted 1400 calories per day. When are the weekly check ins?
It sounds like you are doing great and have a good plan set up!
I post the check ins on Mondays. Thanks for joining in!
