scheduled inductions and I am wondering why so many people are already scheduled for this when we are not past due yet? I am due May 1st (ignore my siggy - I never updated it after my dating US - it is close enough) and my MW has not mentioned induction, nor do I expect her to until my 40 or 41 week appt. I know that with DD my MW was going to let me get to 42 weeks before inducing (I delivered her at 41weeks).

I have a RCS set for May 24th if LO isn't here, but that is almost 1.5 weeks after my due date. I am going for a VBAC so that's the furthest my OB will let me go, otherwise I think most women are having inductions for medical reasons.

It is scheduled for between 41 and 42 weeks.

My Dr. just told me today actually that if by 39 weeks "I'm ready" but nothing's happening, she'll induce. Totally up to me. She doesn't make anyone wait until 42 weeks (which I've heard a lot of). She did say that there is a risk of a possible c-section

My dr will induce at 39 weeks IF there is progress dilation/effacement and you aren't a ftm. I am being induced at 39 weeks because LO is large.

My baby has a schedule CS because my first LO was a CS. I am not personally interested in a VBAC because of this fact. Besides, I have already been cut open once before...why mess up the other end?

I have an induction scheduled for 39 weeks as a back up because I have diabetes. If everything is going well, I can push it to 40 weeks, but 39 is more common. I'm crossing fingers for 40, and trying my best to control my sugars to get us there.
