Safety latches for late 80s early 90s cabinets

I am not sure how to childproof my kitchen cabinets so I was hoping someone on here might have gone thru this already. The style is late 80s/early 90s white laminate cabinets with wood grooved strips on top. There are no handles or knobs to put locks on. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? TIA

We have handles on our cupboards but this is like what we use. I like it so much more than the one
