Does this sound like an allergy to you?

There are a couple items that seem to give my daughter a diaper rash. My sister had a ton of allergies growing up but she would get hives all over her body. I don't know what to make of a food that causes a problem only in the diaper area - we're avoiding the foods we've identified, but I'm wondering if a trip to an allergy specialist would be appropriate or if we should go to a dermatologist instead? Thanks for any insights!

    A friend of mine had a similar issue. Her daughter never had a diaper rash until 6 months of age, and they finally figured out it was yellow and orange vegetables. Weird, I know. But even now, at 2.5 if she accidentally has some, she gets an awful diaper
