When did you take your LO to the dentist for the 1st time?

  • Our dentist told us not to bring him until he was 3.  I think it may have more to do with that maybe by then kids can understand not to bite down...things like that.

  • I brought DS to a pediatric dentist when he was 13 months and it seemed pretty pointless. He was irritated to have people holding open his mouth. They flossed and cleaned them and went over what to do and what not to do, which was really basic--no paci

  • Our dentist said 18ish mos but to not expect a lot. They show how to brush with a teddy and a large toothbrush. They they will attempt an exam but not push it. Our dentist offers that visit for free.

  • Our pediatric dentist wants to see them starting at age 2 but the first 2 visits are just for exploring the office/equipment, counting their teeth and brushing a stuff animals teeth.  It's basically just to get them familiar with the office.  Ag

  • I took G when he was 12-13 months old.  There are alot of recommendations out there but this was the youngest of all of them. I would prefer to take to early rather than too late.I plan on taking him every 6 months since our insurance cover

  • For DS1 I took him around 2.5 and thank GOD because his teeth were even worse than I thought.  I took him because I felt like the top teeth were decaying--and I was right--but then he also had a ton of other cavities, despite our brushing.  H
