Question re: Mother's Day

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday!

Question/favor.... I would love feedback from our SB Mothers....

Do you spend Mother's Day with your kids, or away from them?

Do you prefer to spend it at the spa or treating yourself to a brunch alone? Or, maybe you can?t think of spending the day with anyone but your kids?

What are you doing for Mother's Day?

    Last Mother's Day, my kid was inside of me, so this will be my first Mother's Day with an outside baby. I intend to spend it, and all future ones, with him. I want to be the mum who gets woken up with breakfast in bed by her little one(s).

    DH will probably cook me brunch and give me an attempt at a nap. He will clean up the messes too. I eventually hope that I will get a lunch out some year but most years I've had to work it and this year I will have a newborn. I guess the oficial answer is

    Before I became a mom I always made sure that mother's day was special for my mom and my DH's moms (he has a step mom too).  BUT I have to say--since I've become a mother myself I haven't had one single mother's day that was meant to be special to

    I'd rather spend the day alone but be home in time for dinner with the kids.   I spend all day, every day with them.  It would not be a "treat" to spend all of that day with them.

    It'll be my 1st official Mother's Day and DH will be out of town.  I'll have the kiddo.  I haven't decided how he's going to have to make it up to me since he's going away with his friends on a mini-vacation but I'm sure I can come up with

    I've always spent Mother's Day with my kid. I doubt I'd choose to spend it without him, but, you know, who knows? If someone wants to fly me to Europe for a girls' vacay, well, who am I to say no?
