Hi!!! I am OK, this pregnancy has been rough from the start. A first trimester full of bleeding due to a subchorionic bleed, and now a 2nd tri full of worry. They told us at the Level II anatomy scan that our little giril is perfect in every way but has a bright spot on her heart. UGH! No biggie in terms of heart problems for the baby but it does come with a higher risk of downs. They changed my odds from 1 in greater than 10,000 to 1 in greater than 5,000. Which are still great but I just wanted to hear that everything was A-OK. It is a conterversial soft marker. Some docs dont even tell heir patients, I wish mine was one of those. But I think the worry will come with the territiory. The peri and OB said no additional tests as everyone is so confdent that this is a normal variant and nothing more.
Anyway, I am so thrilled to see you back on the boards and with such wonderful news! I just knew it would work! How are you feeling? Tired? Any sickness? When is your first u/s?
Am-I'm so sorry to hear about all of your little girl's trouble. I hope everything will be great with you and her for the remainder of the pregnancy. I hope all of the difficult times are long behind you both. So sorry hon. I'm sure you have been worrying lots, but the good news is you are well into the 2nd trimester and therefore, over the halfway point. Yay for that!
I'm doing okay. Feeling VERY tired, no real sickness, some headaches and dizziness. My first u/s is on 12/26. I'm so excited. Glad to be back on the boards with all of you too. I've missed you guys! :-)
I am much better now and I have done so much research on the bright spot that I know that she is fine. It was just hard after everything to still not be ablt to fully enjoy the pregnancy. But you are right things get sooo much easier in the 2nd tri and I am starting to enjoy it.
We have missed you too! I can not wait to hear how many you have cooking in there......Great xmas present.
