Ugh- Childcare Freak Out

DH and I were in the process of visiting day care places (focusing on in-home providers) when Aidan made his unexpected early entrance.  I started picking the search up last week and this morning emailed the woman we wanted- but she has filled her spot.  I am freaking out, as the place we saw this past Saturday was a horror show and most others we have contacted do not have openings.  Ugh.  I spent all this time working on my work to let me work different hours (to get out at 4:30 instead of 5 and work half days in the office on Fridays) and now we are two months out from needing it and I don't have anyone.  Back to the drawing board.  It is so hard to find some one who is 1) good 2) affordable and 3) conveniently located.  Centers by us charge on average $2000/mo!

    I am so sorry.  Finding a childcare provider is super stressful.  I was on three waiting lists and didn't clear one until LO was a month old.  But the price where you live made my jaw drop!!!!  For that much around here I could have

    Ugh I don't have any advice but that cost is ridiculous! I am going back and forth deciding if I will need child care other than my MIL. I hope something comes up for you soon!
