There have been a few posts about washing clothes, blankets, bedding etc which I have already done but I'm wondering if any of you ladies have tips on how to wash soft toys?
I have a few soft rattles and toys that state on the label they cannot go in the washing machine. The tags all pretty much say to "wipe with a damp cloth."
If all I do is wipe them with a damp cloth they won't really be clean in my mind. However, I also don't want to use soapy water and then not be able to rinse it well enough to get any residue off.
What do you do with soft toys that can't be washed in the washing machine? TIA!

I threw a couple of small plush toys in a lingerie bag and washed them on gentle... they seemed to be okay (even one that had a rattle inside). I'm just air drying them. Of course, the one that said to wash with a damp cloth, I'm pretty sure I ruined.
If they are used, I toss them in the wash anyway.
