advice? got fired

 found out that i am not getting a contract for the next school year in an email. i had to extend my leave due to issues with my baby and i was fired. the reason: i was not there this year so they decided to let me go.

im crushed, angry, hurt. i was there for a while and was told that i was valuable to them when i told him about my extension./felt bad regarding LO

    No real advice other than I understand. I've been let go twice because of ds being hospitalized. First time was from a well known company with supposedly a good union. Ds crashed and was in multiple organ failure in the ICU and wasn't expected to make

    Have you thought about teaching in the online environment? It has been a godsend for me, although the pay is not as great.

    I know I'm late to the game, but talk to your union rep if you have one.  They are a wealth of advice and can help get you what you need until you're back on your feet.  I'm kind of in the same position - I was told I would not be granted ten

    Also, are you tenured?  I'm assuming no because of your situation.  Again, talk to the union rep if you have one.
