Baby Showers

Putting items for when they're older on the registry

Since I feel like I have to ask, I think the answer might be no. But, I thought of a couple of items that would be good to put on the registry. The thing is, they wouldn't get much use until baby's around 16-18 months old.

What are your thoughts?

  • I know that I put some fun sports themed sippy cups on my registry, so that was an "older" item.  ANd ironically, he never really got into using them until the past year or so.... doh.

  • I think the 1 year guideline is good. 
  • I would think anything that would be used within the first year or so is good.

  • I have ALWAYS bought people gifts for older babies or toddlers knowing that you mostly get cute newborn stuff (plus something off their registry).  So I wouldn't mind it one bit on a registry.  If people don't want to get it, they won't...
