Winter Park Memorial ER

Hey mommies and mommies-to-be. I just wanted to let you know about an experience we had this week. We delivered at Winter Park Baby Place and had the most WONDERFUL experience. The nurses and staff were so sweet, and of course the rooms were beautiful and very welcoming. We met with our pediatrician (on a Saturday) and had a slight jaundice problem so she recommended going to the ER on Sunday to get tested again to make sure it hadn't risen. We were there for a total of 7 hours, they had to do the test TWICE because they didn't take enough blood from my poor baby the first time. The nurses just seemed very rude, incompetent and unapologetic about the entire situation. Only when the Doctor came in and apologized did they rush the results of the test so we could leave. We told our pediatrician and she was FURIOUS that we were treated that way. So just a PSA. Winter Park Memorial ER is NOT affiliated with the Baby Place (words from the doctors mouth) and I would recommend going to any other ER if you have the option.

    I'll be delivering there end of June so thats good to hear and I'll avoid the er! Any insider tips you can offer about your stay??

    Thats awesome to hear! I'll be delivering there as well the first week of July, unless LO decides to grace us with her presense earlier! I had to go labor and delivery at 24 weeks for possible contractions, I was very pleased. I was in and out within 2
