Tips for 1st swim lesson

My DS is almost 6 months and has his first swim lesson tomorrow. I am super excited, but also somewhat anxious because I'm not quite sure how to prepare or what to expect. 

Is there a special kind of swim diaper that he needs to wear under his swim trunks? Should I have him also wear a swim top to keep him a little warmer? Does he need swim shoes? Will I be dunking him under water? Do I keep his towel in the locker room or do I bring it out to the pool area so it is near us?

I guess any advice would help! Thanks :)

    I just bought our LO little swimmers diapers -- They were in the normal diaper aisle at the end.  I guess that they don't absorb water the same way that normal diapers do???  We haven't tried them yet since we have another month until our fir

    We haven't started lessons, but we do go swimming a lot.

    He should wear a swim diaper under his trunks. You can get the disposable ones, or pick up a reusable one target has them right now. I have a Velcro and tie one that my friend bought a

    Target sells iPlay brand swim diapers they're reusable and meet all the requirements for public pools. We haven't started lessons yet but I'm super excited too. I'd bring the towel out w you in case he wants out and is unhappy or whatever ;) I'm sure if y
