I am currently 37 weeks and 5 days pregnant today.  At my OB appointment last week I was 3 cm dilated.  My OB told me that he couldn't quite give a 4 just yet. The baby is super low in my pelvis which is causing a lot of pelvic pressure.  I lost my mucous plug on Wednesday evening into Thursday afternoon.  I have had contractions off and on but nothing too strong or regular yet.  Today I noticed a decrease in the baby's movement (felt him moving around this morning but not like his usual movements) and increase in discharge.  Could labor be close?  This is my first pregnancy and I am not sure what to expect.  Any suggestions or comments will help.

Re: Could this mean that labor is coming soon?
Yes, it could mean labor is close. Or it could mean you've got several more weeks. Unfortunately, until contractions are steady, there's no way to know if your baby will be here soon. I went into labor 3 weeks after losing my mucous plug. Lots of women
Unfortunately, it's not an indication of much. As pp said, it could be tonight or three weeks from now. You will know, tho. I remember with my second baby, no dilation whatsoever the day before, then I had her the next day. You won't

Sounds to me like you're close for sure. Hang in there, mama. Baby will come when baby is ready. :]

I've been 3cm and 80% for the last 2 weeks.
I have no other symptoms of labor, other than the feeling that she is corkscrewing her way out.
good luck!
