Oh, hello growth spurt...

I think we've hit the dreaded 6 week growth spurt.  DS will be 6 weeks on Wednesday.  Last night he slept a very rare 6 hours straight, and then was up at 2:45 a.m. and wouldn't go back down until 4:30 a.m.  In that time, he ate 6 oz. of formula!  Normally, it only takes 30-45 minues to feed him and get him back to sleep and it is not difficult.  Then up again at 7:45 a.m., ate another 5 oz. and literally refuses to take a nap the entire day.  He's eating like crazy, super fussy, super tired, but will not sleep no matter what.  Please tell me this sounds like the growth spurt.

For those that have already been through this, how long did it last for you?  We're not even a full day in and I'm ready to pull my hair out.  Not to mention, he gets his shots on Tuesday... This is going to be a loooong week!

    It is HORRIBLEx2! And they started on different days, has lasted the last 4 days, overlapping 3 of them so far and I think we're coming to a hault. So far on day 4 were acting and sleeping more like ourselves and eating at regular intervals.

    We are going through it too; its just awful! Poor DD is so restless and grumpy.

    With my other DDs it lasted a few days but they all acted differently. I just remind myself that it will pass.

    DD is the same age, and she started the same thing Friday/Saturday. She's been super fussy and attached to my boob all weekend. I can't wait until I get my baby back! LOTS of exhausted tears last night.

    Us too! it's awful! lots of cries, she's so grumpy and fussy and I'm so sleep deprived..it's been very rough and I hope we're almost done with it...

    My DD will be 6 weeks on Wednesday too and OMG the growth spurt has hit us too! She has been eating every hour today, and she JUST closed her eyes for a nap for the first time today. I don't know how long she will sleep though...not looking forward to ton

    I fear tonight already :( she's been eating hourly or crying constantly. She's taken a couple of 15 min naps but otherwise it's been a rough day and I have anxiety setting in for tonight.

    I'm also dreading tonight. :( I just put DS down and it took a good 45 minutes.  I'm assuming he will wake up any minute though and I'll have to go back in...

    We are smack dab in the middle and if I makes you all feel better, LO slept for 6 hours last night.
