"Shower gift for BFF" 

I have a very good friend who is a few weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy. (She's having a girl and 2 weeks later, I'm having a boy...)  Her baby shower is a just few weeks away due to family coming in from out of town. I want to get her something really special, but I am drawing a blank. I've been browsing etsy for days, but keep landing on quilts. Not very exciting... I don't think that I want to necessarily get her something from her registry.

Any cute ideas would be great. OR any STMs that have suggestions to things that they never would have thought that they would need but LOVED to get as a gift.

I have to post this here and not on the baby shower board, because she is a July mom and might look at it elsewhere! ;-)

    My friend is due a week before me. I am getting her a personalized chair from pottery barn kids. Just a suggestion. I think it's around 100 dollars. It's the anywhere chair.

    Get her something for her. Like spa gift cert, massage, mani/pedi, mommy stuff. Every mom appreciates that!

    What about hiring someone to come clean the house before the baby comes and a month after baby's arrival? This is what I want!!!

    I like all of the PPs ides! I saw a welcome wagon on pinterest that I thought was too cute. They filled a radio flyer type wagon full of baby gifts. I thought it was super cute presentation.

    I just bought my BFF something off her registry :-)  I spent more than I would have spent on someone else, but I figured she wanted the stuff on there.

    I would stick to the registry or maybe put your own touch on it? For example, get her the baby tub and the soaps she wants and then if you know her future LO's name, get the baby a sweet little towel with his/her monogram on it.

    My BFF is due the month after me. It took her a 2.5 year journey to get here, so I want to get her something special too. My plan is to get her something off of her registry, as well as something else. I saw these adorable baby books at a fancy baby store

    I gave a friend due a few months before me a prenatal massage. She than gifted me one for my shower. Best gift ever!! Something you don't really want to spend your money on when worrying about what baby items are still needed but something I think ever

    I always buy a large basket and fill it up with an assortment of gifts- 

    Outfits in a variety of sizes, bath toys and hooded towels, baby wash, cute baby picture frame, blankets, diapers and wipes. Maybe a few stroller toys.

    Years ago when my BFF was expecting, I made her daughter a blanket and also got something off her registry. Honestly, I was one of several people to make her a blanket and the others were better than mine!

    I agree with a lot of the idea you've been given.

    I know that I spent a lot of time on my registry and really appreciate when people ask where I'm registry and buy something from there.

    Cleaning service is something I would love to receiv
